FOUNDER | ACCREDITED MENTAL HEALTH THERAPIST | COUNSELLOR | RELATIONSHIP THERAPIST

Niamh Whiley

Niamh is the Founder of Aligned Allied Health and an experienced therapist specialising in psychological and mental health care. Accredited by Occupational Therapy Australia (OTAUS) in 2024, she has built her career around combining evidence-based practice with a warm, relational approach that allows clients to feel genuinely seen, understood, and supported. With a deep interest in the human mind and emotional wellbeing, Niamh has undertaken further training in relational therapy, strengthening her ability to support individuals navigating complex life experiences and internal challenges.

Alongside her clinical work, Niamh is a trusted supervisor and placement provider, working closely with universities across Queensland to mentor the next generation of therapists. She brings the same level of care, intention, and passion to this role as she does to her clients.

Outside of the clinic, you’ll find Niamh at the gym, exploring local markets, enjoying a movie, or indulging in something sweet. Originally from a small country town, she carries that grounded warmth with her, while embracing the pace and energy of city life.

Niamh’s practice is informed by a range of frameworks, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based approaches, and trauma-informed care. She integrates these with core occupational therapy models such as the Person-Environment-Occupation (PEO) framework, Model of Human Occupation (MOHO), and Occupational Adaptation. This integrative approach allows her to work in a practical, solution-focused way supporting clients to untangle unhelpful thought patterns, build emotional resilience, re-establish meaningful routines, and move towards a life that feels aligned with their values.
