DIRECTOR | ACCREDITED MENTAL HEALTH THERAPIST | COUNSELLOR | COUPLES THERAPIST
Niamh Whiley
Niamh is our dedicated director + experienced therapist specialising in psychological and mental health care. Accredited by the OT Australia Board in 2024, Niamh has spent her career blending evidence-based practice with a warm, relational approach that makes clients feel truly seen and supported. Her passion for the human mind led her to further training in relational therapy, expanding her expertise in helping people navigate life’s complex emotional landscapes.
As a trusted supervisor and placement provider, she actively mentors the next generation of therapists through partnerships with Queensland universities — a role she treasures just as much as her clinical work. When she’s not in clinic, you’ll find her at the gym, wandering local markets, catching a movie, or eating sweet treats. Originally from the country, she still carries that small town charm, though she loves the city life.
“My practice is informed through psychological frameworks such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based practices, and trauma-informed care. Though I love integrating OT-specific models such as Person-Environment-Occupation (PEO) Framework, Model of Human Occupation (MOHO), and Occupational Adaptation. I think this blend allows for a solution-focused approach to supporting my clients untangle unhelpful thought patterns, build emotional resilience, + reclaim meaningful routines to empower them to live a life aligned with their values.”
