Christine Dorris
SENIOR OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST | CLINIC DIRECTOR
Christine is our experienced and compassionate senior occupational therapist and clinical director who brings over 17 years of clinical expertise to Aligned Allied Health. Originally from the North of Ireland, Christine completed her occupational therapy degree at James Cook University (JCU) and has since worked across Australia in both public and private sectors.
Since 2007, Christine has supported individuals with a diverse range of needs from stroke and neurological rehabilitation to lymphoedema management, vocational rehabilitation, and psychosocial recovery. Her extensive work alongside Australian Defence Force (ADF) and Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) clients has shaped her holistic and person-centred approach, grounded in empathy, resilience, and evidence-based care.
As Clinic Director, Christine leads with heart and integrity. She is deeply passionate about promoting mental health and wellbeing for clients, clinicians, and the wider community alike. She believes that true healing happens when people feel seen, supported, and empowered to take ownership of their health journey.
Outside of the clinic, Christine enjoys weekends spent on Stradbroke Island with her husband and daughter, soaking up the coastal air and enjoying simple, slow moments that refill her own cup.
“My practice is guided by the belief that wellbeing is multidimensional, encompassing physical, emotional, and social health. I strive to support individuals to regain confidence, independence, and purpose through meaningful engagement in the activities that matter most to them.”
