Kelly Corbett
OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST | MENTAL HEALTH
Kelly is a warm and dedicated occupational therapist who brings a creative, client-centred and holistic approach to her work at Aligned Allied Health. A Brisbane local, Kelly has developed experience across community, paediatric and acute mental health settings, as well as within Indigenous community-controlled and NDIS services. She has supported children, adolescents, adults and their families and carers, working alongside clients experiencing a range of developmental, psychosocial and mental health challenges.
Kelly is passionate about understanding the whole person and finding practical, meaningful ways to support people in the activities and roles that matter most to them. Her approach is trauma-informed and strengths-based, with a focus on collaborative problem-solving and developing creative therapeutic strategies that empower clients to build confidence, independence and participation in everyday life.
With experience working across multidisciplinary teams and alongside families, carers, support coordinators and other health professionals, Kelly values collaboration and believes that good occupational therapy starts with genuinely understanding a person's goals, experiences and individual circumstances.
Outside of work, Kelly has always called Brisbane home. She is naturally creative and enjoys altering clothes, writing and listening to music. On weekends, you can usually find her making something at home, working on a creative project, or attempting to get some exercise in!
“I believe occupational therapy should be meaningful, practical and centred around what matters most to each person. I enjoy finding creative ways to work alongside clients, building on their strengths and supporting them to participate in the things that are important to them.”
